Outfits of 2012, Week 31 - Prizzy Vizzy

I've really fallen behind in my outfit posts.  I feel like my hilarious title for this makes up for everything, though.

Woodgrain chomo glasses - Ragstock $4.99
Feather dress - Portland Saturday Market $30
Braided Belt - Thrifted $2
I used my Corioliss wand again today.  For the second time since I bought it.  It's just easier to use a curling iron because I don't usually pay attention closely (which results in burns from the wand).  Also, I'm pretty proud of the little glare on my lenses in these photos.  Puts the real mystery into the chomo persona.  I'm totally kidding, but these glasses are my newest obsession.

I just want all kinds of things

Pitcher
I imagine this feeling like home.  Not a home I ever knew, because my mom has never had any pitcher this sleek and beautiful, but home nonetheless.  And it reminds me of an egg shell, which reminds me of chickens, leading to my grandparents farm.  Clearly I need this since it already owns my heart.

DIY headboard
My oh my, I need a home to decorate.
Salad or fruit bowl, spalted maple, 12.5 in. dia. x 3 in high
My uncle was a wood turner.  He was in a little club and everything.  For Christmas, my parents would always get beautiful fruit bowls like this one, and other useful household things from him.  We all got little snowman pens one year, which I'll never let go.  But I never worked up the courage to ask him to make/give me a fruit bowl.  And last year, he passed away suddenly.  Every time I see things like this, I just want to go back in time and tell him how cool I thought he was (and maybe actually ask for a bowl).

Why mistakes are important.
A new outlook.
love the color of these sandals!
Need I say anything?
window nest box
I want to build these.  It'd be so cool to have in the living room, especially once we have kids.
giant bean bag. want.
I will forever want anything resembling a LoveSac, no matter how impractical it is.  <3

Things making me smile...

Fancy knitted socks from my Aunt Cathy
(even though it's way too hot to wear them)

Vacation photos

The fact that it's not September yet.  One more month without school!

Tumblr knowing exactly how I feel.

I've been keeping up with my Instagram/week goal for 2012

Gradient nails, even though I can't seem to get the process right yet.

Nothing important

I'm just really excited about this photo.  I couldn't love my remote more.  Or the pole sheds in the backyard.

New projects and failed attempts

I love the idea of etching glass baking pans to make sure you always get them back.  However, my Armor Etch may have been too old.  All of the tutorials on Pinterest say you can etch Pyrex, but after leaving the cream on for 30 minutes (the second attempt) there were no signs of any effort on either surface.  Wtf.

My CriCut came in handy once again!

Mom's gardens

Normally I hate this thing, but today I find it hilarious.

I'm enjoying the west coast right now, but I scheduled some posts so that I'd hold myself accountable when I get back.

Deviled Eggs

I was itching to make something last week, and since all we had in the house was eggs and condiments, this was it.  I just really like to document photographically.

YUM.

And I got the remote for my camera, so here's the kitchen table.  :)
