Amy's blog, A is for Ampersand, especially this part "Also, let me just tell you about this lady at the gym. I know gyms are typically strange places, but there's this lady that's always on the elliptical FULL ON DANCING. Not even dancing--like hippie dancing, arms in the air, eyes closed, smiling from ear to ear, swaying, getting low type stuff. ON THE ELLIPTICAL. She does this every morning. I mostly think she's crazy, but I have to commend her for her bravery. She's pretty awesome."
My tights came! Modcloth ran out, so I had to ebay it and they arrived safely from the UK today. :-D
Kaylah's and Elycia's cheerful nails.
I got a ton of cool stuff while thrifting with my mom yesterday. All of the projects will be up later in the week (hopefully).
Remy wore bunny ears. She didn't like it, but she did it.
Liz and I had a real picnic and she talked me through a few photography things. Then we got to play. Oh, and I'm getting a new camera body (20D) which makes me smile SO MUCH.
Well, okay, I wasn't smiling then, but only because I didn't know the awesome news yet.
There was a whole lot more that made me smile, I just can't document everything. Now that I'm thinking about it, it seems unfortunate. Maybe if I could, it wouldn't seem like the years fly by quite so quickly.

Outfits of 2012 - Week 9
This was hanging out as a draft. Jeez, I wasn't as far behind as I thought!
Maybe this doesn't seem super adventurous, but it is. I love skulls and I love leopard print, but here's the thing: I've never worn them in public. Well, with the exception of a perfectly normal-looking leopard print infinity scarf, I haven't. This is a big deal for me, especially with the holes in the back of the shirt. I'm a little miffed that the gray didn't separate the shirt and the leggings (which I will wear as pants no matter what anyone says. I did it when I was four and I'll do it now.) so I look a little like a barge. -_-

Outfits of 2012 - Week 8

| Okay, so this is a big style moment. This photo didn't turn out very well. Besides the blurry quality, my nail polish looks red. It's actually coral. (The Right Thing - Nicole) Here's the thing. I hadn't hated a color more than I hated yellow in third grade (it looks like pee, duh) until I hated coral. It started about the time I was a junior in high school. It's pathetic, the amount of memory space I use for trivial things, but a friend of my then-boyfriend loved coral. I hated her. Obviously that meant I had to hate everything orangey-pink EVER. I was at Target at the beginning of February and this typically $7 was more than half off. The red sticker attracted me first. Then it hit me. I don't know what "it" is. I just all of a sudden thought, "Hey, coral's okay." Dress - Target Tights - Target (?) Things making me smile today
| My nail polish rack came! It was fun getting the anchors into the paneling, but it's worth it. So bright and pretty. :) |

Outfits of 2012 - Week 4
My first thought seeing these was, "Really? My mom thought I'd like these?" so I totally understand if you think they're ridiculous and can't even believe they were marketed. BUT I love them now. Besides being fun, they're super handy as hair holders. I hate putting metal in my hair (I don't even own hair ties with the metal, strictly the glue. Also, all of the brushes and combs with metal bristles and teeth were banished from my drawers years ago.) but these are somehow non-destructive. If you're gentle.
Cardigan - Target
Dress - Aerie
Tights - Target
Boots - Charlotte Russe
Pink polish - Essie - Bachelorette Bash
Pink glitter - Finger Paints - Hue Left A Message?
This was nowhere near the edge of my comfort zone, yet I feel like I've accomplished something. And I just love the tights. I pretty much had a coronary in the aisle when I spotted them.

Outfits of 2012 - Week 3
Look what finally arrived!!!
I was very excited to try this out. I read quite a few reviews on them before purchasing it and I have to admit, I was scared about burning myself. The lack of a clamp was both frightening (I'm not super graceful anyway) and stirring.
I like how much better my hair looks than it does when using a "normal" curling iron. I feel like it looks much more natural. Also, it took way less time.
Flannel shirt - Target
Skirt - Abercrombie clearance
Leggings & Cardigan - American Eagle
Boots - Charlotte Russe
